SAHM (Stay At Home Mom) and WAHM (Work at Home Mom)

Lately I've been feeling an itch to contribute to our family income...there really isn't any need, but I feel like I need to see some sort of monetary compensation for all that I do at home and for the family.

It is so hard to put a monetary value to what moms do, so I've looked into creative ways to bring in a little cash.

Here a few things that I'm doing:

Blogging with google Adsense ---- Everytime I get a reader to my blog and the ads on them, I get increased traffic and some money for the ads that are visited

Mystery Shopping ---- I did this when I was in college, so I decided to do it again since I get to schedule them myself.  I get paid maybe $8-$10 per shop and whatever I purchase is reimbursed.

Online surveys --- I haven't had much luck in this one yet.  There was one that I did before I got married that I did get paid for, Pinecone Research, but you have to be invited to do it, just look out for the banners and listings for it

Maybe someday I'll start a business, but at this point, I have no clue what it would even be.....?

Ruby's School Fundraisers

The boys' elementary school LOVES to have their class fundraisers at Ruby's.  Fortunately, the kids love eating there, especially when they get to see their friends and teachers there.

To make it even more affordable, I stock up on Ruby's gift cards from Costco (2 $25 gift cards for $39.99, that's a $10 savings).  I use the gift cards to pay for the meal and a portion still goes to the school.
